One of my favourite things to do is open up and work the side body. We don’t often use lateral flexion (side bending) in day to day life and it can make your spine feel so much longer not to mention draw the waistline in. I’ll be incorporating some exercises into my classes next week that do all of the above so make sure to come and join the fun!! 🖤

Yep! whatever you do in Pilates, there is always a reverse. . The reverse plank aka back support, is the perfect complement to the traditional plank/front support, since it strengthens the posterior muscles of the core. It works the arms and shoulders, upper and lower back muscles, obliques, glutes, hamstrings and hips which help improve balance and posture. . So don’t just do a traditional plank, flip over for a back support and perhaps add a kick for an extra challenge ( if available🙂). . . ( I just need to watch for those crazy elbows of mine 😆). . . . . .
